Wiikinahmahgeh Corner with UFCW 832 member Miracle Campeau

Dauphin, Man. – September 11, 2024 – UFCW 832 member Miracle Campeau shares her story, including starting a Cree Word of the Day at Dauphin Co-op, her career as an Indigenous poet, and more.

Wiikinahmahgeh means Education in Anishnawbe. UFCW indigenous members are sharing their voices and stories in this ongoing series.

Miracle is a UFCW 832 member who works at Dauphin Co-op, and alongside her co-worker Thomas Starr, they share words from Cree and Ojibwe daily in team meetings, educating colleagues while learning themselves. Miracle is driven by a desire to preserve and pass on the Cree language and traditions.

Miracle is also a poet, who shares her poetry and thoughts on social media, using her platform to highlight injustices in the world and advocate for indigenous rights. You can find her poetry on Instagram at @miywasinahikew.
