Toronto – February 12, 2025 – Have a Heart Day, celebrated annually on February 14th since 2012, is a child and youth-led event focused on reconciliation and ensuring First Nations children have the opportunities to thrive. This significant day brings together compassionate Canadians to stand up for the rights and well-being of Indigenous children, supporting their ability to grow up safely at home, pursue education, stay healthy, and embrace their unique cultural identities.
The event was brought into the public eye by the First Nations Child & Family Caring Society, an organization dedicated to advocating for the safety and well-being of First Nations youth and families. Through its efforts, the Caring Society promotes education initiatives, public policy campaigns, and resources that empower communities.
