President Dan Goodman and Secretary-Treasurer Charles (Chuck) Pratt were sworn in to office earlier today at a meeting of the UFCW Local 247 Executive Board.

“It really is a tremendous responsibility to represent our members as President,” said Dan Goodman, “and I’m looking forward to working with our members and Executive Board and staff to building on the good foundation we have as an organization.”

“Congratulations to Dan and Chuck,” said UFCW Canada President Paul Meinema. “The demands of the job are constant, but I know how hard both of them work on behalf of their members, and we look forward to working with them and growing our union even more.”

“A big congratulations to Dan Goodman and Charles Pratt on their election to the leadership positions of UFCW 247!”, said Kim Novak, President of UFCW 1518. “UFCW 1518 Secretary-Treasurer Patrick Johnson and I look forward to working with them in their new roles, as well as with the local as we continue to grow an even stronger UFCW membership in B.C.”

Goodman and Pratt were elected by the union’s Executive Board to their positions in accordance with the UFCW Constitution, following the retirement of Suzanne Hodge.
