UFCW Local 247 and Sobeys-Safeway will be meeting to discuss and manage the impacts on UFCW Local 247 members working in the Safeway stores slated to close and re-open as FreshCo stores.

The meeting date has now been scheduled for April 23, and the Union and Company will meet next week to review where to best place members while the FreshCo conversion process is underway.
