The Union Bargaining Committee for Safeway met on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. The committee has made some progress working through some of the non-monetary issues that were proposed. They have two additional bargaining days set for October 23-24, where the committee hopes to continue working through those proposals.  

The Union Safeway Bargaining Committee is Sharon Tuerlings, Alicia Whitehead, Doug Insley, Margaret Robins, Kathleen Allen, and Brian Taylor, and they were joined by UFCW 247 Secretary-Treasurer Dan Goodman, Union Rep Bruce Jackson, and Union Rep Cathy Shannon.
