Arbitrator John Hall has issued his decision in the Final Offer Selection process we just recently went through with Sobeys. In a “bottom line” decision he informed both parties that he “decided to select the final offer formulated by the Employer”.

The Company submitted a position that mirrored the award issued by Special Officer Vince Ready in December of 2018, which decided the negotiation between Sobeys and UFCW Local 1518. There are still elements of that decision that the parties are in disagreement on and Local 1518 and the Company have an upcoming FOS later this month.

We are extremely disappointed in his decision and will be putting out a summation document to explain the impact on members shortly.
