ENGLISH AS AN ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE - FREE CLASSES OFFERED BY THE BC FEDERATION OF LABOUR
Their 11-week program focuses on educating participants about workplace health and safety using an ESL curriculum model. Commitment to attend a weekly, four-hour day sessions is required. Participants have an opportunity to improve their language skills while learning about workers’ rights in health and safety topics such as workplace violence, preventing back injuries, workplace chemicals (WHMIS) and identification of hazards.
