Toronto – August 30, 2024 – The 2024 UFCW Special Recognition Award in Leukemia Research has been presented to Dr. Michael Rauh for his team’s transformative approach to detecting blood cancers in older populations that involves leveraging the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for diagnostic imaging.
“This year, I am thrilled to share that Dr. Michael Rauh has been honoured with the 2024 UFCW Special Recognition Award in Leukemia Research,” says LLSC Advancement Director, Ryan O’Quinn. “Dr. Rauh, the recipient of the Artificial Intelligence Catalyst Grant, is leveraging the power of AI to advance blood cancer research, a testament to the innovative and transformative impact of UFCW Canada’s support.”
Since becoming the national charity of choice back in 1985, UFCW Canada members and activists have raised over $51 million to support the life-enhancing work of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canda (LLSC).
