Calgary –  UFCW 401 member-dependent Chantelle Gilmour is the latest recipient of the BDM scholarship award and aspires to work in the education sector upon completing her bachelor’s degree at Mount Royal University.

“I believe that knowledge makes the world a more accepting place, which is why I have decided to pursue a career in education,” says Gilmour. “I am eternally grateful for the support and feel incredibly fortunate to have been selected as a recipient.” 

The UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship offers a total of $18,000 in scholarships to UFCW Canada members and their families and is one of more than 25 union scholarships available to members and their relatives every year, totaling more than $300,000 in support.
