Vancouver – April 3, 2023 – UFCW 247 member and UBC Doctor of Pharmacy student Tim Le is the latest recipient of the BDM scholarship award which will provide him with some crucial financial assistance as he works through a dizzying second year in the program.

“As a pharmacy student life can sometimes become a frenzy of competing priorities, making it difficult to maintain a healthy balance,” says Le. “This award will not only alleviate some of the financial stress, but it will allow me to spend more time on my studies and a little less hustling for extra shifts.”  

The UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship offers a total of $18,000 in scholarships to UFCW Canada members and their families and is one of more than 25 union scholarships available to members and their relatives every year, totaling more than $300,000 in support.
