Communicators across UFCW Canada’s national office and local unions convened in Toronto last week to learn, engage and share best practices and effective communication strategies that best serve the union’s diverse membership.
Participants were treated to insights from our national survey that focused on membership sentiment and the messages that resonate most closely with members across the country.
The working group’s activities were facilitated by Olivia Chow and her team at the Institute for Change Leaders which focused on effective story-telling, membership engagement and best practices to foster a culture of collaboration.
UFCW Canada communicators left the session feeling energized to take these lessons back to their local unions and use these tools to increase membership engagement through collaboration, strong messaging and effective story-telling.
