BDM Scholarship recipient grateful for support that will help her help others

Abbotsford, B.C. – March 14, 2022 – The latest recipient of the BDM Scholarship award goes to UFCW 247 member Trinity Nacario, who has her sights set on a future helping others as a physiotherapist.

“I greatly appreciate the contribution of the BDM Scholarship award towards my studies, and I intend to utilize this opportunity to advance my future as a health care professional,” says the University of the Fraser Valley, Bachelor of Science student. “Furthermore, I am grateful for the leadership experience as a UFCW 247 member working at Hakam’s Independent Grocer, and thankful to the union for providing me the opportunity to receive this award.”

The UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship offers a total of $18,000 in scholarships to UFCW Canada members and their families and is one of more than 25 union scholarships available to members and their relatives every year, totaling more than $300,000 in support.
