BDM Scholarship empowers member to excel in studies – UFCW 1006A

London, Ont. – October 18, 2021 – UFCW 1006A member and Western University student Callan Klooster is the latest recipient of the BDM Scholarship award, valued at $1,000.

“As a full-time student and part-time worker, this scholarship goes a long way to empower my ability to learn,” says the third-year King’s Scholar. “It not only provides financial security, but it eases some of the pressure brought on by these unusual times.”

The UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship offers a total of $18,000 in scholarships to UFCW Canada members and their families and is one of more than 25 union scholarships available to members and their relatives every year, totaling more than $300,000 in support.
