Sobeys errs in Payroll Step increases for all Grid B members employed at Safeway

Union advises employer they erred in paying all Grid B members their step increase according to the CBA. All Grid B employees entitled to progress up the wage scale in the contract never received their entitled wage scale step increase. After discussing the error with Labour Relations, the employer agreed to rectify the payroll error immediately. The employer will pay all entitled Grid B employees their increase retro active to when they completed the hours required. Payment for members should be on their next pay. Members should check their pay advice on their employee people portal and if they do not receive their increase they should contact their union representative right away.
